Psychedelic drugs, like LSD and magic mushrooms, are illegal in most countries. But there’s a growing movement of people who believe these substances should be
The James Fadiman protocol
Are you going to start microdosing? Then we think it’s best to follow the James Fadiman protocol. This protocol is based on a 3-day cycle that you follow for 4 to 8 weeks. By following this schedule, you will find out if microdosing is really for you and if it has any advantages for you. Are you satisfied with the results and do you feel that you really get more out of life? Then you can continue with the microdosing program!
The James Fadiman protocol looks as follows:
Day 1: Dose day
Day 2: No dose, you may still experience effects and an increased flow from yesterday
Day 3: No dose
Day 4: Start again at day 1
This routine is very easy to follow, you just stick to the days. You can then follow this cycle for 1 to several months. After this period you take nothing for 2 to 6 weeks, to let your body get used to it. This is a kind of reset of the body. During the protocol you can observe what happens and keep track of it your experience in a journal.
The Paul Stamets protocol
Another protocol you can follow is the Stamets protocol. This protocol is by world-renowned American mycologist, author and advocate of medicinal mushrooms Paul Stamets. Stamets developed and tested a new formula for microdosing. He combined a low dose of psilocybin, a niacin flush (vitamin B3) and the special mushroom Lion’s mane. This, he said, would have a positive and lasting effect on the behavior and growth of brain cells.
Stamets thus stacks different substances, which he calls “stacking”. This protocol was explicitly developed for the combination of psilocybin, niacin/ vitamin B3 and Lion’s mane.
The protocol works like this: you take a dose for 4 days and then rest for 3 days. Then you start again at day 1.
Day 1 to 4: Dose day
Day 5 to 7: Rest day
Start again at day 1
Unlike the James Fadiman protocol, you follow this cycle for up to 1 month, after which you do not microdose for 2 to 4 weeks.
Find it difficult to follow Microdosing Protocols?
If for some reason you are not able to follow one of these protocols than you can try a more intuitive form of microdosing. This means that you only take a dose on the days where you feel you need one and are also able to. Do bear in mind that your body gets used to psychedelics so you can not use it every day of the week.
Cordyceps sinensis, also called the imperial mushroom in traditional Chinese medicine grows in the Himalayan high mountains and other mountain ranges in China and Tibet.
You hear it more and more these days: microdosing, people who take a very small dose of psychedelics to experience the benefits of this during
